I just received my customary drunken phone call from Pu. Except this time he passed the phone around to everybody who was there. I really don't understand why people drink and get drunk.

Aww, I tend to think drunken phone calls are funny. But I guess they wouldn't be if you get them all the time... (Plus I've never gotten one myself, I just hear about them.)
Because some people don't realize that they can have fun without drinking. Others believe that they have to in order to fit in, and some do it cuz they think they are impressing somebody else. But hopefully in time these people will start to realize that there is no need for drinking.
